I have been shooting a pistol that uses 22lr....I was wondering if there is a hotter load for them. I have been shooting rem and win.
thanks

From what I've heard (haven't tried any myself), Aguila's Super Maximum are pretty hot.

I'll second the CCI Stingers. They give the biggest kick a .22lr can

The hyper-velocity .22s are a bit hotter than the regular Hi Velocity ones.
But be asvised that many .22 pistols don't function as well with some of them.

As with all .22 RF you'll need to experiment a bit to find what each individual gun likes best.

Yes, the 30gr. Aquila Super Max are VERY hot.

Honorable mention is the CCI Quik-Shok 32gr. They chrono'd at 1650fps for me with a 18" carbon barreled 10/22 and 1600fps with a 22" barreled Marlin model 60.

Surprisingly though alot of the weaker value pack bullets I shoot chrono'd faster out of the 22" model 60 than the 10/22.

One of the most powerful yes, but IMO there are few more powerful ones out there.

The hottest .22lr's nowadays fired out of rifles approach .38 special energy levels out of a snub. :uhoh:
