Pmc bronze , SG says reloadable, boxer primed, but I'm a bit leary of running the cases through a FL die if they are steel & just coated with brass , I dunno ? Anyone reload these cases ?

Beelzy April 12, 2010, 05:09 PM I haven't heard of PMC using Brass plated steel cases.....ever. When in doubt, section a case and you will know for certain. Still, I doubt they are in fact steel. bootcamp April 12, 2010, 05:38 PM Does it attract a magnet? IF so, DO NOT use them. rcmodel April 12, 2010, 05:40 PM Yep. Magnet test will tell you with certainty if they are steel or not. rc bootcamp April 12, 2010, 06:05 PM I never understood "brass coated" steel. That's like putting a ferrari shell over a chevy aveo. Tom S. April 12, 2010, 07:01 PM Steel is MUCH cheaper. The coating is for anti-oxidation purposes. evan price April 13, 2010, 01:07 AM PMC Bronze, all of it I have seen, is brass, NOT steel. cougar1717 April 14, 2010, 02:01 PM Golden bear makes brass coated steel cased 30-06 ammo. http://www.dkgtrading.com/bearammo/gbrifle.html There may be others who manufacture 308 Win like this, but everything that I've ever seen from PMC is all brass. Snakum April 26, 2010, 07:21 PM Been reloading a ton of PMC brass lately. It's actually been pretty good stuff. Better than the loaded ammo. :D
