Yep, read it right, Im not gonna be able to do a formal web site annopuncement for another week or so, but here it is, it works, we are now re doing Marlin lever action rifles for the 500 S&W...

Gonna base it (for now) on the 1895 platform. Prices will be the same as 50 Alaskan conversions or just a few $$ more. Details will be forthcoming atour web site (http://www.wildwestguns.com) but not till next week as I gots to digest first...

Also, aluminum mag followers for Marlin rifles are now available.

They are $19.99 and there is one for 357s and one for 44s....

Same as 50 Alaskans, or maybe $100 more (need to do some welding on the guns) so in full packages ranging startin at $1449 +/-

2. Configuration? Half- or full magazine? Chopped or full-length barrel? Heavy (i.e. octagon) barrel option?

Any config you can get in a Marlin 1895...but not in Octagons right now....

Materials? Stainless steel, pleeeeaase???

We arent doing a smaller framed 500 yet...yet....

As to that pic, I have a parkeriized take down 44 mag with camo painted stocks ready to go...

MMMmmmmm. I'll bet the 500S&W has good ballistics in a carbine-length barrel. Good magazine capacity, too, with its shorter length.

Hi the factory followers are plastic...while we have had no problems with them, so many people have asked for alum that we just gave in and did em...we have them for all modern centerfire Marlins..
