Hello All,

Just thought I'd share my experiences with my recent purchase of two sets of VERTX tactical pants. I ordered one pair black and one pair khaki. I paid Around $40-50 per set but I am sold.

PROS:
+Very comfy. Make sure to order a size larger if you're going to carry IWB, but even if you don't they have elastic built in on two points (3 and 9 o clock'ish) to make it a more comfortable fit with or without a belt.

+Pockets are frickin' HUGE! I could fit a Glock 23 in the main pockets without a problem. Might not even print very much. Those of you who carry a snub .38 or something similar with a pocket holster would do well to consider these.

+Loose fitting but not baggy. I prefer mine baggy and these are borderline for my personal tastes, but an altogether good fit.

+Extra pocket for magazine is well placed (right front, behind your main pocket) and can hold a mag easily.

+The "Speed Pleats" make it easy to access without having to worry about buttons or velcro while keeping what you have in there secure. I wouldn't carry a gun in there, but I keep my wallet in there and its comfortable enough for me.

+Inconspicuous. A lot of you have seen the 5.11 tac-pants around and anyone who knows a semi auto from a revolver can spot those pants a mile away, but these pants do their level best to remain in all appearances totally normal.

CONS
-I'm a fan of more belt loops is better, and these only have 6 (double in the small of back). I think this is about average for pants though, so if you have no problems with that as standard you should be good.

-The fabric is a "little" heavy. Nothing too noticeable but then again I'm used to ACU's. They seem to breathe ok though.

All in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I have a 34" waist, am 5'8, 190 lbs and I ordered a 36" waist and I conceal a Glock 22 IWB with a CrossBreed SuperTuck with no problems whatsoever. I intend to take these pants to the range and run them through the gauntlet (shoot and move, kneeling, prone, etc) to see how stain resistant they are and how well they maintain their quality throughout.

Bottom line: If you want a little more mobility and options/pockets in something other than dress pants or jeans, definitely look into these pants. I consider them worth the purchase even without the "tactical" tag applied. I will be buying some more pairs in other colors as I get around to it.

Take care, stay safe, and live on Amber status.
