As you may know, us here in the occupied territory can not import much in the way of handguns into this state...
But thanks to a heads up tip form a friend i made on the S&W forum, who already had a similar specimen, i was able to get a nice S&W 24-3 3 inch Lew Horton (sans box and holster) today. It had only been there a few days. And probably would be gone in another 3 days if I hadnt acted so promptly
now i only wait the 10 days.. :(
449. plus doc fees 487 out the door.. believe me, this is a good price in PRK
i have been looking for this gun for well over a year. i know of one that has been sitting in a storage room since january but the seller wont price any... 11 months is too long. i may be buying a ruger MKII 5.5 in target for 175 tonight...!

Must be the time of the season; I put money down on a 2" Model 64 last night... It's unfired and with the restrictions on the older guns- I jumped on it.

I hate you.
I've been holding out for an older model 24 or target model 24/25(either of them) for the better part of a year now.
I passed up a chance on an absolutely like NEW model 57(no dash) with 4 inch barrel about 3 months back, person selling it wanted 650 which I felt was a decent price but I just couldn't live with myself if I bought it and then something like a 24 popped up in another shop a week or two later. The person selling the 57 was indeed a collector of sorts, had some model 24s as well as some other things I was interested in. When the shop contacted him to see if he'd part with anything there was no luck.
The one I kick myself for every day is the fantastic condition model 53 I let slip through my hands for 550, with original box and all it's chamber inserts.
Currently a local shop has what I suspect is a reparked Model 1917 in pretty decent shape, asking price is 225 which isn't too terrible, has a GREAT trigger on it though. They also have a Model 57 with a 6 inch magna ported barrel for 450, tempted on the 57 but it's got a little too much wear on it for my liking. It's mechanically tight but surface wear isn't quite pristine enough for me.

Yup, love those 24-3 3"ers. Makes a superb carry piece too!

Goodness what is up with these nice Smiths turning up in Kali these days? I scored an unfired (before I got it) 3.5" 27 in a box with all the paperwork in Oceanside a coupla weeks ago for no more than the price of a new 686.

Mmmm...and I'm eyeing a 4" M28 that I saw at one show today, for $350. A M1950 Target in mint shape for $600.
choices, choices...:D
