There was a thread about the collection at the County Museum in LaPorte, IN being moved. I was there today. Something like 600-700 firearms, nearly all pre-1920. This is the 3rd largest collection in the US. Mix of foreign and American.

And it's FREE....open 10-4 Central time Tues thru Sat

LaPorte is about 45 minutes west of South Bend. About 2 hours from Chicago. Right downtown at the Courthouse. Unfortunately I had to leave before it opened.
