Identify this old blade

Can anyone help identify this old blade found in wall in Colorado Springs, Co.? Has peculiar brass inset on top of blade and (tong?) marks It is 23 inches long and curved (not shown in photo)

Gotta agree that we can't do much to help if the background is in focus and the knife isn't.

Try laying it down on the floor. That way the background and it will be in pretty much the same plane and you won't have the problem of the cameral picking something feet away to focus on.

HSO is right. The autofocus will have an easier time if everything is in the same plane or close to it anyway.

Also, see if you have a macro setting. This will help when you are trying to get closer in details. If it does, you are often better, staying back a little (couple feet) and zooming in on the detail since the autofocus on most cameras will require a minimum distance back from the subject. Manual focus is a different animal.

I would guess asian but asia is a big place. need better photos
