I sent in for Hornadys FREE bullet offer after purchasing some dies--for $6.95
they will send you 100 of the bullets they have listed.
I picked the .45 acp 185gr XTP HP.
After 2 mo I e-mailed them " when will I receive them"
They said " business is booming in all Departments -- we will not make a run on these bullets for another few months" "so sorrrrry"--they offered me another bullet--I will wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NICE TO BE MAKING MONEY...............................

You would prefer they were going out of business?
Nice to see that just about ALL gun-related manufacturers are having a boom in sales - that sends a message to those who would disarm us

When you get to my age--you will find that patience is more of a pain in the a$$-than a
virtue.

This is the problem I have with all the bullet companies right now. They are selling all their high-dollar bullets with the biggest profit margin and are ignoring their not so rich customers. I know, I know, it just capitalism in action but some affordable bullets would be nice. I can't blame them for making as much money as they can but I still feel left out.

I know some of that goes on, but I suspect that in this case it's just production runs and when the next run of the same bullet happens.
I ordered 1000 XTP 185gr .45 bullets with my press rebate that I bought in November last year.
Yes, it took a couple of months, but for the $21 shipping, I'm definitely not complaining!

If patience is a is a pain in the a$$ for you, may I suggest:
1. that you eat more fiber and whole grains; or
2. have your underaged daughter come home with a middle eastern terrorist operative, and announce that he is the father of your unborn grandchild.
I guarantee that #2 will solve all your constipation problems!

Maybe you are right on"no bullet is worth waiting 3 months" I just go cast some and I'm in business. I don't use jacketed bullets in handguns. I have a bunch of the J-type projectiles left over from before I learned. probably 5K of various calibers and weights. One of these days I'll givem away!!!!

I put in my 20 years on casting
I decided I didn't want to lead up the old bod anymore.
The next 20 years I went to jacketed bullets.

I got dies for Christmas, sent the stuff in and about 6 weeks, maybe 2 months later got my bullets. Your situation sucks, but I agree with some of the others. Business is booming, our hobby has solid companies and 100 real quality bullets for $7 is fantastic, even if it is slow.
It's easy for me to say this, because I didn't have to wait.:p

For REAL?!?! What does rich have to do with it? If you are THAT poor, perhaps shooting is not a hobby for you. You can always go to any store or a number of on-line places and order what you want

I didn't say that I didn't have any 45's---I just don't like waiting when a Co. says they will send you something..................then they want about 4 mo.

I sent my rebate in on 2/10/10 for 500-185gr 45ACP. I called today and the representative told me that they will make a run of these bullets in 3-4 weeks and I could expect my bullets around the first week of June. I don't mind waiting. Where else could you get 500 bullets for $14.95 shipping?
HOWARD J

@ruger1228
Do you mind if I ask you how much money did you spend on Hornady products to get your 500 bulletd for !4.95 ?

I bought a new L N L Press. I had been looking for progressive press, Cabelas had them on sale, plus it was NRA weekend so I got another 10% off. I was going to have spend the money anyway, so I look at the bullets as an added bonus.

HowardJ: I've been casting for over 50 years, started in 1956 at age 11. Too much, Too good, too fun, to give it up at this stage of my life. There's way too much alloy waiting for me to cast and shoot.
