Anybody got a guess as to what this brass is? I found some at the range and picked it up thinking it was 308. A 308 case is smaller is in the picture. It's headstamped with a D on one side, an A on the other, a 4 at the top, and 79 at the bottom. Rim is also larger than a 308. They say it could be .303 manufactured in Quebec, Canada.

The 303 is rimmed, the case in the pic is rimless, maybe a 7.5x55?

Your camera has a minimum focus distance, stay at least that far away and zoom in to get a clear photo.

I believe that Ol` Joe may have it right. I'm guessing 7.5x55 Swiss too. Maybe MAS 7.5 French, but I doubt it.

I had a Swiss K31 for awhile, using the GP11 Ammunition ; here's a link with the specs for it:

A friend took it and compared it to 7.5x55 Swiss. It was a match in all measurements. :)

I doubt it too. Much less common than the not-very-common 7.5x55. Also, 7.5x54 rim isn't much larger than .308/.30-06. Maybe .010", IIRC. I believe I use the same shellholder for 7.5x54 as I do for the '06 family. The 7.5 Swiss, OTOH, is noticeably bigger and requires a larger shellholder.
