I'm hearing that FFL's other than C&R and Class 6 are back logged as much as a year. Renewals are going thru on time but new applications are not being processed in a timely manner.
Does anyone have any credible information or knowledgeable comments about this situation?

You mean Type Three, or a Special Occupational Tax class?
Because Type Three is C&R, and to get an SOT 3, you need to already have an FFL of type 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11.
Considering their processing time for LOTS of different things in the government, I would expect them to come to a crawl every time they go over expectations. And that goes doubly for SOTs. But then, I have no experience with the FFL system at all. Just what I can find around the internet.
