Does my buckmark need a special suppressor?

Someone told me that if I was going to suppress my Buckmark, I might need a recoil booster/L.I.D. device type suppressor. Don't even know what that is.

Anyone out there use a buckmark? What can?

Also looking at using it on a CZ 452, Kadet, 10/22.

You don't need that for a buckmark .22 . You need a booster for a 9mm or .45, pretty much anything that uses a Browning 1911/hp type system (which is pretty much everything but .22)

most semi automatic pistols require a nielson device in order to cycle reliably. there are many manufacturers of suppressors that come standard with such a device. http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=318745

No, it does not. It can use any .22 or larger suppressor, provided the barrel threads match the threads on the suppressor.

Here's some pictures of my AAC Aviator on a Buckmark, Kadet & 10/22. I have a 4" TacSol barrel on the BM. The Aviator has interrupted 1/2x28 threads so it can be used with a quick attach mount (on the 10/22) or just screwed on (the pistols).

How do you like the AAC? Is it "quiet"?

maybe the guy telling you about an LID/booster meant to say any "browning tilt barrel recoil" pistol needs an LID. Example: any common centerfire pistol like a glock, sig and such need a booster assistance cuz of the weight of the barrel with the added silencer not being able to cycle properly. I know of no .22 rimfire needing a booster as semi auto .22s are blowback with fixed barrel. Yet there are a few 9mm pistols that work similarily and dont need an LID, like HKP7 and most Beretta 92s run fine without assistance. In my opinion the Buckmark is the best semi auto pistol host available for a silencer platform. Unless of course you can find a Ruger MK1 or 2. Forget about the lawyered-up MK3. By all means stay away from the walther P-22 and sig mosquito turds.

I like my suppressed buckmark. Much better than my P-22.

The silencer is a home made one. I shot it next to an AAC can, mine was just a bit louder and only cost $20 plus the tax.
