Cobra Patriot .45, made by Cobra Enterprises, formerly Republic Arms

Looks like a very no-frills, utilitarian gun. Very compact and shoots .45 ACP.

Here is a comparison against the Glock 36:

Glock 36
Ht: 4.76"
Slide length: 6.77"
Barrel length: 3.78"
Width: 1.13"
Empty weight: 20.11 oz.

Patriot:
Ht: 4.75"
Slide length: 6.0"
Barrel length: 3.0"
Width: 1.0"
Empty weight: 20.0 oz.

Here's a gunbroker listing. $180!

Photo may have distorted the gun's proportions.

Anybody with info? If it's reliable, then it looks to be a great people's gun.

The Republic's had a decent reputation. No +P as I recall, also no slide lock on the last shot. Seems like it would make a good truck gun to throw in the console and forget about.

These have always intrigued me and i wish i could say ive actually held one but i cant.Supposedly Cobra is making their guns better than they used to be (other models besides the patriot).

Cobra bought out ALOT of companies patents and rights to produce their guns....Jennings, Bryco, Davis and others..........

They are made in SLC, UT.....where I live...Id like to see one in person.

Ive heard the frames are made from Zinc plated recycled Budweiser cans.

But dont believe everything you hear.....................Shoot well.
