KodiakBeer May 5, 2010, 01:24 PM The Mexican authorities just took down a drug lord known as "El Lobo".
And yes, those are real diamonds and emeralds on his guns. At least he buys American! :barf:

ccsniper May 5, 2010, 01:27 PM those has to be the most disgusting guns I have ever seen. Looks like they allowed them to rust then sprayed them with gold paint.
Phatty May 5, 2010, 02:18 PM From what I heard, that's not gold paint, it's actual gold plating. But it brings a whole new meaning to gaudy.
Arkansas Paul May 5, 2010, 02:22 PM That's absolutely sinful.
heron May 5, 2010, 02:36 PM What a bunch of trash . . . proof that no amount of money can buy good taste. :barf:
KodiakBeer May 5, 2010, 03:00 PM Can you picture "El Lobo" standing there looking stupid with part of the nine pounds of gold bling hanging from his neck caught in the action of his AR, while the Federales closed in?
Of course, a gold-plated, diamond-encrusted AK will just keep on running no matter how much gold bling you drop in the action. Poor planning, really...
Hatterasguy May 5, 2010, 03:09 PM Clearly he was an idiot, thats why he was caught.
dovedescending May 5, 2010, 03:16 PM good, another bad guy off the streets.
They'll probably destroy those weapons... sans the plating and jewels, of course.
KodiakBeer May 5, 2010, 03:23 PM They'll probably destroy those weapons... sans the plating and jewels, of course.
This is Mexico, so the local political big-shot will own them. Which is appropriate since he's probably a former partner of El Lobo, until he got a better offer from a rival and brought the Federales down on poor Mr. Lobo.
Lonestar49 May 5, 2010, 03:29 PM ...
Talk about: Better own a good safe, as the_word spreads about one's gold/silver plated w/jewels, gun-trophies..
Almost: ~ an accident waiting to happen ~ without doubt
:barf:

Bubba613 May 5, 2010, 03:47 PM The first picture is actually Colt's new special edition 1911, El Lobo. Available in .38 super only.
I mean, is it really fundamentally worse than this?

Shadow 7D May 5, 2010, 03:49 PM Look at all those "American gun" why I bet he had just picked those up at a gun show a few days before he got busted, and hadn't had time to get them out to his troops, I mean gang bangers....
rugerman May 5, 2010, 03:55 PM Hey you guys are being too hard on the guy, he was just miss guided, he thought that they were rapper jewelry, didn't even know they were real live guns. You know they can't have those south of the boarder unless they are with the goverment.
Seenterman May 5, 2010, 04:11 PM I actually like that chrome or silver M-4! It looks pimptastic! If i had a couple of million burning a hole in my pocket yea I'd do it!
Anyone here ever play Army of Two? Looks like El Lobo did and loved that pimp camo. :D
ilikepancakes May 5, 2010, 04:38 PM Aw come on guys! First there's that thread about how modern guns suck because they "can't be engraved", and now this about how 100% engraved guns suck! What do you want!? Some sort of tasteful balance!? :cuss:
Btw I hope his bullets are gold plated and engraved too or I'm not impressed.
Sniper X May 5, 2010, 04:52 PM I have been looking for ideas on refinishing a couple 1911s and a SP1.....
bannockburn May 5, 2010, 05:41 PM I've heard of Extreme Tactical, but this is like Ultra-Extreme Tackiness. Gives the word ostentatious a really bad name.
Sniper X May 5, 2010, 05:45 PM Reminds me of the guns the Disco Boys had in that movie The Mystery Men.
Clifford May 5, 2010, 05:45 PM All that work done on that super and they didn't even bother to clock the grip screws!
Bubba613 May 5, 2010, 05:51 PM I've heard of Extreme Tactical, but this is like Ultra-Extreme Tackiness.
Is there a difference?
KodiakBeer May 5, 2010, 05:57 PM Anybody have a clue what that big gold thingy bolted to the AR barrel in the bottom picture is?
CoRoMo May 5, 2010, 06:04 PM Anybody have a clue what that big gold thingy bolted to the AR barrel in the bottom picture is?
It's just another ugly piece of ****.:D
Actually, I thought that was a suppressor that's lying in front of the scope and above the front sight.
Schofield3 May 5, 2010, 06:06 PM Anybody have a clue what that big gold thingy bolted to the AR barrel in the bottom picture is?
A suppressor! - i think - it's just sitting on the table (not attached to the AR)
KodiakBeer May 5, 2010, 06:07 PM It's mounted to the barrel - night vision?
CoRoMo May 5, 2010, 06:08 PM It can't be mounted to the barrel. It's not. It's almost sitting right on the front sight.
meytind May 5, 2010, 06:17 PM It looks like he covered a bunch of guns in aluminum foil. They look like toys. How could anyone possibly think that pimping guns to this level of gaudiness would get them respect? He should have bought a Rolls with that ill-gotten drug money.
KodiakBeer May 5, 2010, 06:19 PM It can't be mounted to the barrel. It's not. It's almost sitting right on the front sight.
Maybe we're talking about different thingies?

it's mounted to the barrel
I don't think so..... :D
KodiakBeer May 5, 2010, 06:24 PM I think you're right! The other photo is deceptive.
Tim the student May 5, 2010, 09:49 PM They look remind me of those barbecue guns I've seen pictures of on here.
owlhoot May 5, 2010, 10:03 PM I say, if you've got it, flaunt it! You guys get bent out of shape because somebody choses to embellish his guns and yet think women embellished with tatoos are hot...go figure.
kenno May 5, 2010, 10:17 PM Gives the accronym ATAS a new meaning 'All Trashy and Shiney'!:o
Ky Larry May 5, 2010, 10:29 PM Now I remember where I've seen those guns before. They came from Liberache's estate sale.
KodiakBeer May 5, 2010, 10:33 PM This guy was a Drug Lord. I'd rather be a War Lord myself, but if you're any kind of Lord you have to keep up appearances or your henchmen won't respect you, so you'd pretty much need some jewel-encrusted guns.
Unless you're a Lord of the Dance, then I think you could get away with a couple of pairs of jewel-encrusted shoes.
devildog32713 May 5, 2010, 10:40 PM butt-ugly, AR's and 1911 are to be Black, silver (for 1911's) or a digi camo or some sort, not this uglyness!
Equestrian May 5, 2010, 11:49 PM Well aren't they just "special" one of the few weapons i wouldn't mind seeing get melted. i like tasteful engraving work but that's um well not it
Arkansas Paul May 5, 2010, 11:59 PM You guys get bent out of shape because somebody choses to embellish his guns and yet think women embellished with tatoos are hot
Hey, I resemble that remark.
ccsniper May 6, 2010, 02:47 AM Hey, I resemble that remark.
wait, what? Resemble? I dig tatted women as well, But God intended for guns to be smooth and have a certain weight to them for every man, and every man has his own personal gun out there just waiting for them to find it. It is a true love story.
Mr. Bojangles May 6, 2010, 07:22 AM I want one!
Old Shooter May 6, 2010, 07:36 AM Gimme that 1911 and let's go to a Texas Bar-B-Que!!!
maroast May 6, 2010, 07:56 AM Are those Winchester White Boxes of ammo in pictures 2 & 3?!? Hahaha this dood is a drug lord, and yet he has to shop at Walmart for his crappy ammo just like the rest of us!
Zombie_Flesh May 6, 2010, 08:14 AM Sorry... I like them - they are different and unique... one of a kind. If I had the kind of money that a drug lord or flamboyant pianist has, to buy them I would and I would shoot them too.
CoRoMo May 6, 2010, 09:44 AM ...remind me of those barbecue guns I've seen pictures of on here.
I didn't know Supafly was a member on this forum.:neener:
ForumSurfer May 6, 2010, 10:14 AM If I had the kind of money that a drug lord or flamboyant pianist has
I'm trying to finish my AR project and I don't know which way to go, so many choices!
If I had that kind of money, I'd order one of everything JP Precision has for reference...then decide where to go.
The first picture is actually Colt's new special edition 1911, El Lobo. Available in .38 super only.
I mean, is it really fundamentally worse than this?
I don't think there's anything wrong with a little engraving and embellishment. None of my guns are engraved, except for a 1911 I intend to pass down to my son. It's engraved with his name, his birthday, my name and the gun's purchase date(yeah, very fine print)...under the grips. To each his own. If we all want utilitarian firearms with nothing but the necessities, we'd all be packing tupperware. Variety is the spice of life!
LoneCoon May 6, 2010, 10:19 AM You'd think with all the bling he could have afforded some decent furniture for the guns. Why not some tasteful ebony for the butt, grip, and heat shield?
CoRoMo May 6, 2010, 10:20 AM Why not some tasteful ebony...
Wait... you think he has taste?:p
Schofield3 May 6, 2010, 10:30 AM Sorry... I like them - they are different and unique... one of a kind.
Yep, they'd be one hell of a conversation piece!
KodiakBeer May 6, 2010, 04:44 PM You really need both gold and platinum guns to compliment what you're wearing. If it's black tie and dinner jacket, then you go with platinum. If it's a wedding or semi-casual affair, then gold is never a bad choice.
armoredman May 6, 2010, 05:05 PM I think the rifles look terrible, but that's just my opinion.
Hey, what women with GUN tattoos? Does that cross the line? :)

Yes.
cleardiddion May 7, 2010, 12:07 PM If it's set up like bling, I wonder if that guy wore it on a gold chain around his neck? :p
