Glock20

I recently picked up a Lone Wolf 10/40 conversion barrel for my Glock 20.
Price from Dillon was $113.44 shipped.
Only shot 50 rounds so it's not scientific by any means. Load was 40 S&W with 180gr Berry's plated using Tightgroup powder. (mid + load) 1.125 OAL
Installing the LW barrel is as simple as the stock Glock barrel. Truly drop in.
I used the stock recoil spring and G-20 magazine.
First two magazines were with 13 rds each. I was somewhat careful to make sure they were pushed back as far as possible.
Pulled the slide back and the round chambered perfect. Ok, let's see how it shoots.
Shots were fine and landed pretty much where it was pointed. Out of the 2 magazines there were 4 fail to feed.
From what I could tell, the recoil was pushing the rounds forward in the magazine.
Next I loaded just 8 rounds in each magazine and there were no fail to feed.
I'll have to test more to see if less rounds = no fail to feed, or if it was a fluke. (gives me another reason to hit the range)
Since I would never use the conversion barrel for carry, the fail to feeds are not a big issue.
Overall, the conversion barrel does exactly what it's supposed to do. Giving me another caliber to load (which is always a good thing). With 40 S&W brass readily available and cheap and allows the use of lead bullets.
Anyone else have experience with using a conversion barrel?
