The Class III smilie (look how happy he is!)

The above is the result of insomnia, a bit of GIF work, a bit of Paint, and a few images from THR and elsewhere. It's the first time I've done anything like it. :)

So anybody else got any cool gun smilies? Maybe even something that can be added to the THR smilie list? :D

Your smilies aren't smiling. In fact, to me they look appropriately grim.

"What is that SHTF smiley doing?"
I don't know... but it looks obscene.

It's a "Camper" smilie... in online multiplayer games, a "Camper" is someone who sits at a respawn area, waiting to kill players the instant they re-join the game. He's not doing anything obscene (although his tactics for preying upon the unsuspecting are questionable). He's just popping out of a tent with a Quake 2-style RailGun.

I thought it'd be fitting for those of us that When the SHTF, we like to be as heavily armed as possible. :D

I can't seem to find a tinfoil hat smilie... I think the CIA got him:uhoh: :scrutiny:

How do you animate .gifs?

Mike ..... there are quite a few app's out there .. Ulead Gif Animator is one many people use .. I have small mini app within my image edit software ... but they all do same thing.

Bit like movies ... the ''illusion'' of movement is by combining single GIF images in sequence (like frames) ... and arranging the timing of each frame to suit what is wanted.

GIF (max 256 color pallette) is the ideal because it is possible to make one color transparent ... which is very useful to get rid of a background.

Go look around on the web ... there are various app's to choose from.

The easiest way I've found to organize & post smilies in forums & emails is with the EmotiPad program. You can download it from here:
http://www.emotipad.com/

It's a shareware program with a free trial, after that I think it's about $10.
