1) I can pick up a Colt PeaceKeeper 357 for somewhere under 300. . .How much do I need to talk the guy down to get a GOOD deal on this?

2) Any of you Colts guys. . .what is the background on these PeaceKeepers? I haven't been able to find out much of anything about them. . .

Shape? Condition? Barrel length?

Less than $300? Offer him $250, but see what he'll throw in for the extra $50 (ammo, holster, original box).

Adios

Sorry. 4" barrel, decent shape. I guess. Kinda rough, but the little I have found concerning these guns say they were ALL kinda rough.

Went through the checklist on thefiringline about checking if a revolver is any good. . .passed all those tests

They were the rough finished --parkerized---version of the Colt Trooper----think of it as the 870 Express version.

They were offered in '86 and '87---pretty much till the King Cobra came out---suggested retail was $320 back then IIRC.

Were solid guns and mine was pretty accurate--6in barrel. The Pachmyer grips were a nice touch at the time.

I don't think I'd give more than $200 for a used one though.
