Is there anywhere that one can sign up for or get more info about rifle matches in Dallas? I was thinking something that I can use my ar-15 in. I have been getting more proficient and I think I'm ready to finally go toe to toe with some more experienced shooters.

If you are a member and shoot pistol matches (I think you have to have 5 or 6 pistol matches under your belt) they hold 3 gun matches that are rifle pistol and shotgun.

Our local club is the Dallas Action Pistol Shooters.
We just had our first rifle competition at Elm Fork this past Wednesday night.
Go to www.dallaspistol.com and watch the schedule for future events.
You can also go to www.dfwshooters.org for more info on upcoming events.
Our club shoots IDPA and USPSA matches and we have just started shooting rifle competitions also. We use some steel targets, some IDPA targets and kind of mix up the rules a little between IDPA and USPSA when we shoot the rifle matches. They are a lot of fun. You can shoot AR's, AK's, even 22LR carbines. Optics or Iron sights. You can P.M. me here if you have any more questions or use the contact info on the dallaspistol.com site.

Hope to meet you at one of our matches.
