I recently picked up a 637 used in really good shape. Have not fired it yet.
I paid $365 for it, was this a good deal?

You will like your new purchase. I have one and carry it often. I prefer to shoot standard pressure .38s out of it. Don't worry about a "deal" or not. Money spent on quality firearms is always well spent.

Went to Bass Pro in Memphis and in the store Circular they were advertising New 637 for $520 or so. Add tax (9.25%) and background ($10) and you get $578.10

That's the best looking gunbroker NIB 637 deal @ $399 plus actual shipping. You still would have to pay for the transfer and background check.

I'd say you did well.
