I have a Winchester M1917 the one they call the Enfield as it was based on the P14 Enfield in .303. I was expecting an Eddystone but when I opened the CMP box, there was a beautiful Winchester M1917.

I have been looking for a 1903 but the gun show prices for the condition of the rifle don't seem to match IMHO.

My favorite Mil sup bolt gun for fun is without a doubt, my Swedish Mausers.

I have a Swedish Mauser (sporterized by Kimber), a Canadian Ross, an M1898 Krag (sporterized) and two M1903A3 Springfields (one by Remington, one by Smith-Corona.) The '03A3s are my favorites by a long chalk.

My hands down favorite is the 1911 Swiss Schmit-Rubin, followed by their K-31..After that I will take one of the Swedish M-96 Mausers. For ease and comfort of carry the Swedish short rifle, commonly called a M-38 here is my choice.

The Mauser is my favorite, closely followed by the Enfield and K-31.

I love the Swede and 8mm Mausers, but my favorite is the Mauser in 7x57. I've just never found a cartridge I like better.

I would say the K-31, but doing a mad-minute and actually hitting a steel-gong 20 out of 20 times at 200 yards is the most fun I've had with a bolt-rifle!

I can only load and fire 20 rounds in a minute with my No. 4 Mk I. I'm no British Tommy.

I have a Mosin modified for 200 yard iron sight prone matches. We shoot at MR 52 targets and I shoot in the low 190s, which is a lot better than I do with my Rock River Arms sercice rifle. Can't beat that long sight radius !

Enfield. Actually... an Ishapore 2A1 that was cut down to 'jungle gun'/scout specs and has an FAL flash hider permanently affixed on a sub-16" barrel. It just makes the +26 inch non-SBR length.
