For low flash try Silhouette or N330/N340. I have had great luck with N340 and 124/5 Gr 9MM JHPs. I have shot the 9mm GS 9MM 124 Gr JHP with N340 as well.

Use loads for other JHPs of the same weight. The Golden Sabers have very little full diameter shank, and generally take a bit more powder to get the same velocities.

Load for the bullet weight. Who made it doesn't matter.
"...9mm 124 gr..." 125 grain SIE FMJ data on Hodgdon's site will do nicely. One grain won't make any difference.
Your pistol needs to be set up for those little 185's too. 1.135" OAL vs 1.200" for a 230 grain bullet.

I use 7.7 gr of Unique behind a 185gr GS in my .45's. They chrono at around 1,050 to 1,086 fps from my guns; Sig 220, Combat Commander and Government model.

I've loaded 5.6 grs of Unique behind the GS 124gr bullets but haven't chrono'd them. I'd guess that they'd be at 1,150+ fps since Sierra says you should get that with their 125gr FMJ and 5.5 grs. I've found the velocities in the Sierra manual to be pretty close to actual results I've chrono'd with various bullets.

I've never considered Unique to be a flashy powder. Powders that definitely produce more flash IMO are HS6, Power Pistol and of course those magnum powders too slow for the 9mm and .45.

Here is a posting of several muzzle flash pictures with various hand loads and factory ammo.

I have not hand loaded Remington GS, how does one determine a COL with this bullet with out data ? I use the chamber to find the max COL, but the GS is a different bird ?

Factory 230 Gr GS is 1.130 to 1.135 O.A.L.. I "assume" the 185 is as well.
I have only shot one or two loads with the 230 Gr GS, so don't really have any good info.

I loaded the 124 Gr GS at 1.120 to 1.125, which is what someone posted as the factory O.A.L., and it shot well there in a three different 9MMs. (EMP, TZ, RRA AR)

Any top end load (work it up) of AA #5, HS6, N340, or True Blue will do well. Other similar powders like Unique, Silhouette, etc should as well. The N340 turned out to be very efficient in the 3" EMP while still giving excellent velocities in the AR. It is also extremely clean and accurate.
I really like it for 124/5 Gr 9MM loads.

I simply took those four powders, and a couple more, and worked up to max with them.
