hi-standard usa model h-d

I have come in contact with a hi-standard usa model h-d with silencer,serial number 523xxx.could anyone know what year this gun was made,and the going price for one of THESE guns.

There was a production run of the suppressed HD done after WWII:

I've read that they were in 500,000 serial number range; that would be around 1954-1955 (http://www.histandard.info/datapublic/serial/pserialno.html).

If it was a real, original military (CIA apparently in this case) silenced pistol, legally registered, it would be worth quite a lot of money.

It belonged to my dad,he retired from the military in 1970,and went back to work with the cia,i found it in his safe,after he pasted on.

You better hope it's registered with the BATF...

how can i find out if it is registered.
