svtruth May 24, 2010, 05:59 PM excellent web site dedicated to older Hi-Standards. Great guns. Good luck. OcelotZ3 May 24, 2010, 11:53 PM No H-D's seem to match the serial number you have... http://www.histandard.info/models/pistols/hammer.html 1SOW May 25, 2010, 12:05 AM You can get that info here: http://rimfirecentral.com/ gb6491 May 25, 2010, 05:13 AM There was a production run of the suppressed HD done after WWII: http://www.smallarmsreview.com/pdf/OSSPistol.PDF I've read that they were in 500,000 serial number range; that would be around 1954-1955 (http://www.histandard.info/datapublic/serial/pserialno.html). Regards, Greg ezlazyfish May 25, 2010, 06:04 PM thanks for your help. OcelotZ3 May 26, 2010, 01:16 AM If it was a real, original military (CIA apparently in this case) silenced pistol, legally registered, it would be worth quite a lot of money. ezlazyfish May 26, 2010, 12:56 PM It belonged to my dad,he retired from the military in 1970,and went back to work with the cia,i found it in his safe, after he pasted on. OcelotZ3 May 27, 2010, 12:58 AM You better hope it's registered with the BATF... ezlazyfish May 27, 2010, 11:10 PM how can i find out if it is registered.
