What do you all think of this little carbine? Pure (cheap) fun at the range?

I have one. It is a fun and handy rifle. It is also IMO very expensive. It may however, very well be exactly what you are looking for. For example, if you already own a Ruger 9mm handgun, you can use the same magazines. Also, when I bought mine, 30 round mags were readily available at a reasonable cost. Or, maybe you only own a couple guns at this point and one is a 9mm handgun which would make stocking up ammo easier.
I own a number of 9mm carbines; A Hi-Point, A Ruger PC9, and a Colt Lightweight Sporter (AR15). This may sound crazy in light of this, but I don't see the point of it now. The 9mm cartridge out of a carbine doesn't generate much, if any, more velocity than a handgun. The cost of 9mm ammo to me doesn't justify spending that kind of money on a carbine.
If I felt that I couldn't get by without a 9mm carbine, I would buy the Hi-Point. Mine exhibits decent accuracy; comprable to the Ruger. It runs fine. And it costs a fraction of what the Ruger does. On the other hand, if this is something you are really going to use a lot, it might be worth it to you to buy the Ruger.

I have one that was given to me. If I had to buy it myself....I wouldn't. Its a nice little gun....reliable, fairly accurate, well made but it is also quite heavy and difficult to disassemble/reassemble. Would probably go for one of those Keltec Sub2000's if I really needed a 9mm carbine. Fun to plink with though.

I have one, and I love it!!! I do think that the retail price is a little high, but I bought mine used an it is worth every penny. Knowing what I know now, I'd pay full price for one. I'd like to add a P944/PC4 combo to my collection.
