New guy here, I just wanted to say hello. I found this link on another board and after browsing a few minites, liked the way the board is run. I don't care much for long winded debates or flaming. You guys seem like, well, me. I hope I can pick up a few tips & friends here as well as contribute. you guys got it all wrong. The new guy gets 50 Garands from CMP and has to strip down and clean each piece, then oil stocks once a day for a week and then reassemble. Then get 50 Russian Capture 98ks from whomever and do the takedown/degrease/oil stock/reassemble drill. Then 50 Enfields (your choice which No. and Mark) and do the same. Then 100 Russian Mosin Nagants (any style) because the Russian had numbers. Then 50 of those late war Arisakas (the last ditch ones) and fix'em. He has to do this for each forum member and submit each rifle for inspection. Then he must create a specific handload for each individual rifle that produces MOA. Then dig a salt mine to store them. Then build a flintlock by hand (your choice of model) and shoot MOA. Then build a rotating carousel (sp?) like the luggage holders at the airport, only this one holds rifles. Then write a essay (thirty page minimun) on how to improve the 1911, with a sample model of his design. ;)
