Price tag on a 1985 Colt's Combat Commander!

At the local gunshop this afternoon I was admiring a .45 caliber, blue Combat Commander made around 1985. It was in excellent, original condition. Very handsome in its checkered walnut stocks with Colt medallion. Then I saw the price tag: $750! :what:
OK, I must have been napping. When were regular production guns like this--nice though they are--lofted into the pricey realm of the collector's item? Or is the dealer off base? :confused:

Supplie and demand usually dictate prices ,In the PRK you are more likely to run into inflated prices ,especially on guns not on the Doj test list.:(

Yeah, but if it ain't on the list, it can't be sold by a dealer. Only private party transactions are allowed with unlisted handguns.
