I have a Remington .410 Shotgun than takes 3 inch shells; I think it's made in the 70's or 80's. I was told it's a rare gun because everyone bought lower gauges. Is this true? I'd like to know more about it.

Thanks,

~Gramm

It would help if you'd mention the model. 870? 1100?

At any rate, 410s are less common than 12s and 20s.

@natman

It's an 1100

A .410 gauge Model 1100 is certainly uncommon, but I don't think that translates into much in the way of extra value. The price guides I have don't make any distinction for gauge, and the skeet models in .410 and 28 gauge bring only a slight premium.
