597 semiauto 22 magnum rifle

i know this is the only current manuf. producing 22 semiauto.can anybody give me some good feedback on this rifle.one of my biggest concerns i hear is the jamming of the magazine,has this problem been resolved.also can you purchase a mag larger than 8 rounds that comes with rifle.

I have one in 22 LR its ok but not sharp shooter, jamming can be fixed, all questions you might have at the link above...

Mine was fairly accurate, and reliable with the metal magazines. 8 rounders is all you get.

The Remington is not the only one available and the Volquartsen IS a production gun. It is not a Ruger receiver but rather a proprietary action based on the Ruger made entirely in-house at VQ. You can order them from Davidon's like just about anything else. Not to mention those from Magnum Research and Excel Arms. On the used market there is the HK 300, Marlin 922M, the H&R 700 and an AMT replica of same.
