Anyone own the Glock Brand tac/laser light? What do you think about it?

How about anyone owning any of the other brands? Does anyone have any recommendations?

I'm thinking about getting one for my G17. Pictures would be appreciated :D :D

i don't own one, but i have used them. they are alright, in my opinion there are better options out there. i personally use a TLR-1 from streamlight, super bright led. and if you really wanted a laser on the light you could get the tlr-2 it is a light laser combo. the tlr's are made of aluminum and not plastic, so they are very durable. you can get a surefire if you really need it, or have the money, but the tlr-1 is just as good as the surefire's in my opinion.

Thanks. Generally the consensus seems to be that the Glock version is sub par compared to other lights and lasers out there...although, I'm not sure an intensely bright light is what I'm going for. And honestly I don't like the way the other models look on a Glock...but I guess I'm being picky there

Correct. The factory Glock light is truly a POS. Looks and feels cheap. I was willing to give it a try when I bought a nib G23 with the Glock light a while ago. After a couple of range sessions, the damn thing came apart.

Yeah, the front end came loose. I was never able to twist it back, because the rubber O-ring was damaged. Didn't care to send it back in.

if you were really worried about how things "looked" you wouldn't own a glock!:)

a light is a tool just as much as a gun is, they don't have to be pretty to work like they are supposed too. and honestly on a light that is possibly gonna be used in a defensive sittuation, you want it as bright as you can get it. trust me, been there done that with sub par lights, and with the good ones, and after using a bright light for the first time...... lets say, i saw the light! :)
