Bear MGC is the only source for <$100 damascus folders.

If you cruise Ebay long enough, you will see damascus folders from Case and from Parker (now defunct) turn up from time to time. The Parkers, in particular, never sell for very much. If you want to buy new, check these out. (http://www.agrussell.com/knives/by_maker/a_through_d/a_g_russell_knives/folding_knives/a_g_russell_model_470_lockback_with_damascus_blade_bolsters.html) At least one of them is in your price range. AG carries other damascus knives as well and you may find something you like enough to spend a litttle more.

I guess if I want something "like" the real thing, I might need to pay more... like $600 for the real thing. I wonder if CRKT is ever going to try and sign and do regular production of these? :D

Damascus is some interesting metal, but I understand they are like Wagoneers as they will practically rust before your eyes; diligent rust prevention is a must.

Hearsay to be sure (never owned damascus myself), but just thought I'd bring that up.

I'll charge right out on the limb and say there ain't no such thing as a 'cheap' Damascus blade. Hand made stuff won't be cheap or mass produced.
