Found this while stumbling around the internet, hope its not a repost!

Personally my favorite was between the range nazi and the paramilitary poser probably because I always find the two (or a blend of the two) whenever I go shooting :fire:

I hate range nazi's. My old range was run by the Wild Life service and they placed a range nazi there after it became too popular. I got yelled at for handling an optic during range cold...my rifle was unloaded, bolt back, and I wasn't even touching it, just the optic.
Everyone else there left their weapons loaded pointed down range when everyone went down range. Personally I found people leaving loaded weapons a little scarier than me handling an optic. I touched the stock of my rifle I got yelled at. I loaded magazines on range cold I got the evil eye. Never went back there again. Just because I was the youngest person there I apparantly don't know anything and can't be trusted...but the idiots going crazy with 75 round drum ak's who are 60ish were trustworthy...

That was pretty funny.

^^ I know what you mean Carter, I'm considered a young, stupid, irresponsible kid wherever I seem to go to go shooting just because I'm 21. Looking younger doesn't help. I can appreciate not being as experienced as somebody who may have been at ranges or shooting for 20+ years but that doesn't mean you have to treat me like I'm the idiot girlfriend who swings a loaded gun around when she doesn't want to shoot anymore :p . There is a an open range (if you can call it that) that me and my father go to every so often thats pretty much just a crater on the side of a mountain where you can shoot up old computers and what not. The experience there ranges from very good (all by yourself to plink without ear protection and a .22 rifle) to very bad ( Swarming with mall ninjas and rednecks who take up the whole space and take forever to shoot)

It is by no means a range in my mind and more of a place where you can shoot some watermelons and such. The last time we went a mixed group of what appeared to be black-tac and paramilitary poser people had sprayed an orange line in the dirt and declared it the firing line. I wasn't opposed to the idea but when I was sitting shooting my rifle way off to the left and maybe a foot behind the line, I was asked to scoot further forward so I could be pelted with hot brass.

I'm only 32 yet I'm likely best described as a tea drinker.

It doesn't help that I do always have tea at the range.

That was good. Unfortunately, I've encountered most of them at my local range.

Cute, but making fun of other folk doesn't really constitute stayin' on The High Road.
