Can some kind soul give me a step by step on reducing Kb size for pics in Photoshop?
I've been using MGI Photosuite, and its an easy conversion there...I have to think that Photoshop has an easy tool.

It's been a long time since I've used Photoshop, but IIRC, the easiest way to do this is to use the "Save As" menu selection. That should pop up a window that allows you to set the size of the image, the resolution, etc.

In Photoshop 6.0 and up (don't recall if the earlier revs have it) there's an option under 'file' to 'save for web' where you can set options for file size vs. picture quality to optimize the picture for the 'net.
A definite must for posting pictures.

Photoshop has an "Image Size..." command under the "Image" menu in older versions. In newer versions I think it is under the "Format" menu.
In both versions you have the option of changing pixels per inch in addition to the actual size of the image.
For posting online, 72ppi is standard. An image with this resolution will look like hell if you try to print it though.
