Google FU
do a search, it's fugly, but still not a winner, I believe that goes to a caseless auto revolver, forget the name, but that was ugle.

I'd love to the shoot the KRIS carbine

I looked around and googled FU, ended up going on a roundabout trip and found a strange looking double barreled semi-auto pistol/caseless revolver. Very odd...

Also found info on a HK G11, also caseless... both very ugly, but not as ugly as the Kriss, I don't think.

It's also ugly in person too. I've shot this before. The recoil on this was like shooting a .223. Because of the uniqueness of it I found it awkward for find a good grip with it at first.

It's accurate with little recoil....but man were man hands dirty after 60 rounds of this.

Ohhh that is one UGLY gun! It looks like the manufacturer took the grip and barrel from a much smaller gun and plopped them on the big blocky frame... Can't be comfortable to shoot either... Great example!

On the Nambu, it's not squeezing the sides that will make it fire, it's specifically that dog-leg bar that runs from above the trigger to the back of the frame. That is the transfer bar, and some genius decided to leave it exposed. Pushing on it up by the trigger will fire the thing. I've tried it (dry, not loaded).

Pre war Nambu type 94's are not as ugly or as wierd in the hand as you'd think. The late war models are finished very roughly and add to thier reuptation as 'junk' guns.

They certainly look odd though.

My Glock 19 RTF2. Those fish gills are hideous. I carry it concealed IWB because I don't want anyone to see it. I love the RTF texture, though. I'm accustomed to aggressive wood and metal checkering so the normal Glocks seem too smooth for this Glock n00b.

Are guns supposed to be pretty? I always thought they were supposed to be reliable and accurate! Some of the older long guns do look like works of art for sure. That usually involved the woodwork and metal smithing. Newer guns tend to look more tactical and businesslike. It's all good.

No, TOU, those are very nice in my opinion. Some very nice wood grain is showing through on numbers 2 and 3. Then again, I favor well blued steel and wood grain. And I have been called a mall-ninja-wannabe on this very same board because I was not trained by the USMC on pistol handling and how they release a slide.

Well spent money for modern handgun training should not be judged against lowest bidder aimed at the lowest common denominator IQ.

Huh - Aside from that, I don't like plastic guns.
Those things are ugly. Yes, form follows function, but I am not blind.

I'm with you and a huge fan of old world steel & wood...especially Old World Czech arms "from a by gone era".
I think they're pretty cool, got any info on em?

Gentleman, I would have to agree that these are not ugly as much as they are quite odd. In many ways they are kind of neat even...if not aesthetic. Heck, they kind of even and grow on you after a while.

Made in Czechoslovakia shortly after WWII. Single Shot, tip up, cocking knob and adjustable front sight.

From what a good Czech friend of mine tells me, a couple of them are single shot Brno PAV Target Pistol's in .22LR of an early 50's vintage. The PAV Series were named after a Brno designer named Pavlicek. Apparently they were made in a very small quantity and are extremely rare to begin with. Unfortunately they were never imported into the US due to failed ATF drop test results.

The top one is also some how related and have seen it also called a PAV...but one gentleman says this about it:

it was a first Drulov target pistol designed and manufactured shortly after the World War Two. The pistol was designed by Pavlicek and was manufactured by Drulov (actually, Lidove Druzstvo Puskaru 'Lov') in Litomysl. This particular pistol was manufactured in 1950 as indicated by markings on the barrel and receiver. The pistol features a simple, drop-barrel single shot action. Original one-piece hardwood grip with diamond checkering. The front sight is dovetailed in the muzzle. Non-adjustable rear sight.

Here is an Italian sight with lots of pictures.

https://waffenamt.it/wa/shop?l=Item%5B108134%5D&b.m=&

That's about all I know...not much. And yes, they really aren't so bad. :D ...especially compared to some of these other...things. ;)

I don't know, the superman squirt gun wins over the pink AR hands down. It is creepy. I have a Hi-Point .40. I think it is a fine gun and enjoy it. It has been very accurate for me. Hedgeball at 55 yards, 4 shots. First 3 were within a couple inches, the 4th demolished it. I think that's a decent shot for a cheapo handgun. I really don't find it that ugly.

The Mauser C-96 is pretty ugly though, as well as that FN PS90.

Half right, literally. It is a movie prop, but it is a "real" Charter Arms .44 Special Bulldog revolver with a 4-inch barrel. Attached to the top is a bolt action Steyr Mannlicher SL receiver in 222. The 44 spl half supposedly still fires. It recently sold for $258,750.
