I've heard much about the new 327 round but not much about it's recoil. I shoot Buffalo Bore 158 +p's from my SP-101 and was wondering if anyone would have any comparisons with that load and a 327 Federal load?

Based on my experience with heavy .32-20 loads, I would expect recoil to be negligible. Should be a significant difference between the .327 and heavy .357's.

I have 2 SP-101s. A 357 and a 327. Factory loads for the 327 are impossible to find right now. I have only fired about 20 rounds of Federal American Eagle 100 grain loads through it so far. Compared to my 357 with 158 grain Hydashocks I'd say the 327 recoil felt like about half the 357. Quite pleasant actually. The noise is about the same though.

I'll agree with Goodshot. I own a SP-101 and have had the same experinces.

When this round was first announced it seemed like something I'd like to have. However, over time I've come to the conclusion that a .38 spec. or .38 spec. +P with the option of going to the .357 mag. was a much better choice. AND, since I already own TWO 357mags I'll take a pass on it. HOWEVER, if I was buying a gun for somebody who was really recoil shy I'd give it strong consideration.
