Picked this thing up for $399 out the door on Saturday, thing shoots amazing. I only shot .38 target loads from PMC through it so far, no +P. I can imagine it will have some pretty good punch to it when I do though!! I was pretty accurate at 15 yards, 3 inch groups or so. I could get them all on the paper at 25 yards but nothing to really brag about yet. This thing is a dream to carry, I wore it around the house and out and about all weekend in a IWB Uncle Mike's holster, you forget that it's even there. No complaints from me, great gun with amazing fit and finish!!:D Here are a few pics -

I went with the LCR with the boot grip and XS sights about a month ago. It is VERY comfortable to carry isn't it! I haven't had the chance to test fire it though, so you have that on me. I won't carry it out until I test it....I've just been strutting around the house and yard. :D

The LCR is a really great CCW gun. Somewhat uncomfortable with +P's (I carry Buffalo Bore 158gr. LSWCHP GS). Actually, it kinda painful for more than just a few rounds, but, a real "stopper" load. I carry the LCR or the LCP, depending on my clothing for the day. Two great guns! Good luck with yours.....

Congratulations on your new LCR. My wife helped me buy one for Father's day. It's a great little gun. I shot easily 70 rounds of 125gr FMJ without any pain! I traded my Taurus Model 85 ultralight snubby for it . With the same ammo, I couldn't shoot beyond 20 rounds with te Taurus. Ir was just too painful to the hand.

My only gripe is the jingling sound of the revolver. At first I thought it was broken. But after reading the manual (right, I read the manual after shooting the firearm:eek:), I found out that the jigling sound was the transfer bar and was completely normal. I also googled the condition and was surprised to find out many issues on it.

Otherwise, I can see myself keeping this LCR for a long time!

Yeah, I knew about the transfer bar going into the deal. The thing is, I carried it around all weekend and never heard any noise whatsoever while it was on my belt or in my pocket. Great little gun, I've only got about 35-40 rounds through mine right now, but it didn't cause me any issues at all. Very comfortable to shoot, I'm pretty pleased with it!

I only own five +P rounds, myself. They're what's in it when I carry it. Maybe someday I'll shoot them for fun and replace them with normal rounds.
I figure if I can't solve the problem with five .38 specials I wouldn't have solved it with +p's either. 8)

It's a nice little gun though, isn't it? I love mine dearly.

You've had a new gun for a month and haven't shot it yet?

When do they take the cast off your arms and legs?

I know, I know... but everytime I've bought a new toy it's been straight home for a kitchen table cleaning and then head to the range to see how the new puppy shoots!! :)

Try an Uncle Mike's #3 and a Nemesis for pocket carry. Use whichever one fits your pocket best. I've found that the LCP seems to be regulated for 125 grain bullets. Of the 125 +Ps I shoot best with the Golden Saber. I had no luck at all with the Speer Gold Dot SB 135. You can hit 3" steel targets at 25 yds. with this little gun with a bit of practice.

I'd recommend painting the front sight a nice and bright yellow, though. That's what I did to mine after firing it in even semi-dark circumstances.
