i went to academy today and was confused on which ones I need. the base isnt a picatinny or weaver style. are they a special design and not found at academy?

CZ uses a propriety 16mm receiver dovetail.

You can get rings direct from CZ.
Or Leupold, Warne, Burris, Millet, and others make rings to fit them.

The CZ 550 is a full size Mauser long action designed for 30-06 size cartridges.

The CZ-527 is a miniture Mauser short action designed for .222/.223 size calibers.

As far as I know, the differance is the CZ-550 uses a 19mm dovetail and the CZ-527 uses the 16mm size.
