I think the factory ones are a little more slim and should work better for my wife.

The grips you linked to are the newer grips S&W now uses, not the older Uncle Mike's grips. The grips currently on the S&W site are nowhere near as good as the Uncle Mike's grips... (just so you know what you're buying)

The difference is the rubber and the Uncle Mike's are slightly thicker which is better for a good grip. I DO NOT like the new grips. They feel very cheap and they are too smooth for good purchase.
Here is the link to the Uncle Mike's boot grips (http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_764708_-1_758003_757843_757837_ProductDisplayErrorView_N) and the new S&W boot grips (http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_766297_-1_758003_757843_757837_ProductDisplayErrorView_N) so you can see the difference. It's the same difference with the combat grips. As for where to find them, sorry I can't help. The only place I knew they "were" was on the S&W site.
If you are willing to buy wood grips I can highly recommend Badger Custom grips (http://www.badgercustomgrips.com/smith_and_wesson_pistol_grips.php). Look at the full size J frame grips on that page, not the boot grips. I have them on my M640 and they are GREAT!!

They fit any round butt J-frame.
