In your opinion, what are the top 5 deals in firearms in 2010?

I'll say:
1. Romanian PSL for around $500. I picked up 3 of them!
2. Russian Mosin Nagants under $100. I have several.
3. Chinese SxS 12 gauge with external hammers for $230.
4. CZ82 for $220.
5. TT33 pistols for around $190. :what:

S&W Elite Gold SxS shotgun from CDNN
(I wouldn't buy a Chinese SxS and trust it)
HK P7
Glocks are a good buy anytime

I have no use for cheaply-made guns of any type, whether milsurp or otherwise, quality you only buy once, crap you pay for over and over

Brand new H&R Pardner 12 gauge pumps for $178 at Walmart!

For reference, thats $25 less than I paid for mine 2 years ago. A friend of mine paid $250 for one about a week ago, and I still think he got a great deal!

As of summer 2010, I feel that these guns offer the best bang for the buck.

Handgun:
CZ vz. 82 - Can be bought in excellent condition for around $200.

Rifles:
Swiss K31 - extremely accurate and high quality rifle. You can still get a good one somewhere between $200-300. Excellent rifles, these will continue to go up in value.

Higher quality Hex Reciever Mosin Nagant. - You can get a good for under $100.

.vz 24 Mauser - These make great deer rifle for around $200.

AR's these days, you can buy black rifles cheap.

I still think K31's are under priced, although they seem to be inching up.

M24/47 mauser rifles and Mosin 91/59 for less than $250 to your door after FFL and shipping. AMmo is still cheap and as powerful as .3006. Great gun for deer and hog hunting.

But again, i would suggest one should get the K31 Swiss, the accuracy of that one is unbelievable. Get them before they are gone, prices have stayed in the $250 range.

I second the AR-15 for $600 from cdnn....wait, I bought two!

If I ever saw a new Stevens for $200.....that receiver alone is worth more than that!

The obvious:

Any decent bolt action .22lr <$180.
Good accuracy, cheap plentiful ammo, no recoil, great game getter.

Here's another vote for the CZ82. Inexpensive to purchase, cheap ammo, amazing accuracy and reliability. Best $200 I've ever spent on a gun.

My other vote goes to 3rd generation S&W semi's. Other than being a bit heavy for a modern day firearm, they are rock-solid and fairly inexpensive.

Just picked up two of these. One in .45 and one in 9mm.

Still thinking of pulling the trigger so to speak on a CZ82

For me, in the 1911 world......it's the Springfield Armory "GI" .45 pistol, parkerized.

New for $539.00. Except for the roll marks & grips it looks just like a classic USGI pistol.

I've heard that 3rd gens are pretty underrated and good value, so I bought a 5904 and a 5906. Still waiting for them to ship. Will see how that works out for me.

Ruger 45/22 Target P512MKIII for $335.00. That's full retail and you can find them cheaper, saw one on Gunbroker for $259 NIB. That's a lifetime of fun for not much money.

MSAR STG-556!

One can buy a brand new MSAR STG-556 for around $1k if you shop around and even the ones that are selling for around $1,200 are still an amazing deal, and STG-556 mags are pretty cheap now also!

A Sig X-5. They're worth a lot more than what they charge for them. :)

Oh, you mean dirt cheap deals.

HGM22

Marlin 795: I've seen them for $95 sometimes.

Mosin 91/30: ($80 for a reliable rifle shooting cheap and available ammo).

Mauser 24/47: $150 Mauser, what more can you ask for?

Guns that seem like a good value but I don't have experience with would include: CZ82, S&W .38s (used), heard good things about the S&W 3rd gen. autos as well. Been seeing some good prices on used Glocks. That Mossberg "knock off" shotgun (made by Mossberg), the name of which escapes me, seems decent enough.

CVA Stalker SS at Academy for $159 (would be a lot happier if I didn't have to send it back to the factory though!)

All Russian / ComBloc guns are generally a great value, very reliable, and shoot cheap corrosive ammo

My nominees:

1) Ruger MKIII and Ruger 22/45, either of which can be had for around $250, for a lifetime of inexpensive rimfire blasting with minimal maintenance, and

2) Any of TT-33 variants (Romanian, Polish etc.) currently on the market in the $200-$300 range, same as #1 except substitute centerfire for rimfire

from the CMP for $595. The rifle I purchased is beautiful-H & R, with an LMR barrel-Muzzle 1 throat 2 (like new). Some beautiful rifles right now. I have seen the same rifle sell for $899 at gun shows.

Model 12's can be had for about $250
Cut to a 20 inch barrel they make an awesome riot gun

High Standard Flite King riot guns can be had $250 to $275.
This is the gun used by Steve McQueen in "The Getaway"

Model 37's go for about $250

Model 31's go for about $275 to $350.

I like to throw out the name Saiga for a good value. The Saiga 12 is still a pretty good value at around $399.
