Does anybody know of a company that makes a Tactical stock for the Remington 770? I bought the gun new for $354.00 on a bet that I could work my Gunsmith VooDoo on it and make it out shoot my buddies $1,500 Remington 700 Tactical bells and whistles rifle. Well I did and I even surprised myself with a .63 MOA three shot group. They are both .308 and we even traded rifles and his groups improved with my rifle over his own. I do gun work on the side it's not my career just a hobby. I have to say that I love the way the rifle shoots and I don't feel it can be improved anymore than it is at this time but I hate the stock and plastic trigger guard. It shoulders well and from the group size it fits me well and the Deer I killed with it didn't mind but I think it's ugly as sin. My beef is purely cosmetic. If anyone knows where I can get a polymer stock for it I would appreciate it. Please don't ask what all was done to it as I would have to take a whole day to go through the extensive list and yes it would take equal to or more than $1,500 if you had to pay a gunsmith to do all the modifications so it's not worth the trouble to get one to shoot this well. I have looked to all my sources and I can't find any company that makes hardly any parts much less a stock for it. I did alot of fabrication for this project.

No. You're gonna have to make one. Wood may be an improvement over that original stock.

Anything would be an improvement over the factory stock. I guess I'm stuck with it then. Thanks.
