I bought my first gun (a Glock 22) about a year ago and to do that I used this forum and others to research my purchase. After buying it and my AR15 I've made several spread sheets to compare the ammo for them. Below you will find a link to them and a few other resources. Please note that the spread sheets have multiple tabs.

I'm providing this info because I used your experience to make informed purchases. Your advice has been invaluable in the decisions Iíve made and I thank you for it. I am very satisfied with my Glock 22 and LWRC M6A2.

I've done my best to ensure the accuracy of the data provided but I can not guarantee it. You should take it upon yourself to verify it with the manufacture and/or retail store. I have no affiliation with any of the companies listed. If you represent a retail store or manufacture and you have a problem with what I have a listed please let me know and Iíll modify or remove the listing at your request.

If you would like me to add a brand of ammo or modify a row please fill out a row in a blank spread sheet and attach it to this thread and I'll update my spread sheet. That way all I have to do is copy it from your spread sheet and insert it into mine. Please ensure that you include the manufactures part/item number. When attaching a spread sheet to a thread please include the following in the subject line. The caliber, grain, manufacture and part/item number. Please differentiate between 223 and 5.56.

If you follow the link below you will find:

223_5.56 Ammo.xls
This outlines the different manufactures and their specs. Also included is the lowest price I was able to find online using Google, Google Shopping, Ammo Engine (http://www.ammoengine.com/) and Ammo Deals (http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php?caliber=9mm%20Luger). I will update these prices once a month or so. If you find a lower price please fill out a row in a blank spread sheet and attach it to this thread. Please provide a link too. When searching I was able to yield the best results by using the manufactures part/ item number.

bookmark 6-28-10.htm
This is a export of all of the links that Iíve accumulated while doing my research. To import this into Internet Explorer (IE) download it and then while in IE go to File>Import and Export and then follow the instructions. I use IE 7 so you may not be able to use this if you are using a different version of IE. I think there may be a conversion tool though.

Piston AR-15s.xls
When I was researching the purchase of my AR15 I put together this spread sheet. I got the idea from a spread sheet that I had seen from rob_s.

Ammo Makers And Retail Stores.xls
This is a spread sheet that outlines some of the different ammo manufactures and online retail stores.

I will be posting this on a few other forums.

When it comes to purchasing ammo and other products I urge you to support your local gun store and buy locally. If you donít you may not have one. Try to buy American too (or least nothing made in China).
