Dose anybody know if you can shoot +P ammo through a new Ruger Vaquero single action with a 5.50" barrel? It is chambered in .357 mag but I will mostly be shooting .38 special +P if it is possible.

The short answer is yes.
A .357 magnum revolver will shoot any .38 Special.
.38 Special +P has only about 60% the chamber pressure of a magnum.

Just clean the chambers real good after shooting lots of 38 spls and before you then shoot 357 mags.

As Jim said, you can easily shoot .38 Special +P ammo in a .357 Magnum.

Any revolver capable of shooting the 357 Mag cartridge will handle 38 Spl +P loads with ease.

The Ruger Vaquero (or New Vaquero) in .357 mag is fully capable of a steady diet of full-house .357 mag loads. The New Vaquero is built on the old model Blackhawk frame, as I recall; and the small diameter of the .357 cartridge leaves a lot of meat between the chamber walls in the cylinder. Shoot them .38 +P's with confidence!
