Hi folks,
I got into some money troubles a while back and had to let go of my blackhawk. I'm out of the hole now and looking to get another one but prices seems to have climbed a bit. I'm looking for a .44 mag with the 7.5 inch tube. I would like stainless but not that picky. I already have holsters so I'm pretty intent on the bbl length. My post is asking simply how much should I expect to pay for one in good condition. I checked gun broker but almost all they had were NIB going for the average in gun store price. I don't mind a little holster wear or that ring on the cylinder. I'm thinking $350.00 is reasonable, but wanted to know if they actually come down that low in decent condition. Thanks for any help.

My dad just bought a New Model Blackhawk in .45 Colt. It was the 5 1/2" barrel. It was 95% condition and he gave $349 for it. Your expectations are not out of the question at all. It may take some time to find one at that price, but you should be able to if you're patient.

where are you guys finding these previously loved blackhawks for 350 ?

that price point came and left PRK a long time ago. and single actions can be imported !

i havnt seen a used blackhawk under 400 in a long time. and the ones priced near there are the ones in fact with LONG barrels.

good luck with your search.

I got one at a gunshow in Fort Worth that wreaked of newness for $300.00 from an individual that walked in. The dealers would not pay the $300.00 but I did right quick.

I just bought Ruger's 50th anniversary .44 Blackhawk for 349$ last September. That's NIB from the factory, not used.

If you can't find an old 3 screw... I'd search for a 50th Anniversary edition. They put a little more effort into those... to make 'em "like the old ones".

Sorry, my ol' 3 screw ain't for sale... and is unmolested by their legal dept. fix.

ElToro, we found the used one in central Arkansas. Benton to be exact. I picked up one at a Little Rock gunshop brand spanking new for $449. I was pleasantly surprised.

Whoa. Apparently I got royally screwed by Sportsman's Warehouse when I got my 4 5/8" Convertible .357 a few years ago. Those are some good deals.

I bought my Blackhawk 4 5/8" stainless .45 Colt at the High Caliber gun show last year for $350.

My Super Blackhawk .44 mag is 25 years old and, if I'm not mistaken, cost $135 NIB. It has well in excess of 20k rounds through it and is still very accurate and tight. The only issue I have with it is the polychoke rib I had installed early on since my dad and I used it for metallic silhouette shooting....wish I hadn't done that but it certainly helped with seeing the sights after a couple of cylinders.
