About Five years ago I bought a Firestar In 40 cal. It is very accurate and feels great in my hand. however I've yet to fire two mags in arow without it jamming at least once .I have tried new factory mags(at 32 bucks a pop)to no avail needless to say I leave it home alot. Anybody else have any experience with this gun?:cuss:

How is it jamming? (What are the symptoms?)

What ammo are you using?

These guns are usually very, very reliable... so something's clearly out of whack.

(I had a .40 Firestar for several years. Good gun. HEAVY, however.)

Id agree with Walt. The guns simply dont have failures on a "regular basis". Id clean it and inspect it. Same with the mags.....

Polishing the feedramp cant hurt...but other than that I may suspect bad recoil/mag springs.

These will wear on any gun and give you feeding failures. Go to WWW.gunsprings.com

Replace the springs, clean it and shoot it.......if it continues then look
further into it.

Shoot well.

I have the same gun and it shoots anything I feed it reliably. I agree it is heavy, so it isn't a carry gun for me.

I had a .40 Firestar for awhile. Mine started jamming and I discovered it had broken off the tip of the ejector so it was about 1/8" too short. It would still work sometimes but would often jam as the round failed to eject cleanly. I fixed it and sold it.

Thanks for the information I'll check the ejector and replace the springs, the feed ramp has been polished
