I never thought I'd see someone complement the Skunk on his pair. ;)
Anyway, planning on getting some black leather and doing the full Matrix? It's not tactical, but it's styling!

I am SO disappointed.

dang that makes we want to buy a Beretta.
All you need now is the dual holsters shown in the Movie Face Off. :)
Nice looking set of pistols. Which one is getting the ghost ring?

Yes those sure are purty. They look like you don't even shoot em. Yup the sure are nice even if they don't match exactly. Too be truely tactical they should match exactly.
yeah I think you made a big mistake with that shiny one. why don't you send it my way. It is sure to give your postion away, blind you with glare, etc. Yup you should send it to me, I'm only thinkin about your safety and all.

Buzz, I don't have black leather (I have carbon fiber Kydex though) but I could post a picture of me wearing my Smartwool tights? :neener:

Jeez, right when I was having a good day, you had to remind me... :( :banghead: :cuss: Some friend you are...

Heh...yeah dual carbon fiber kydex holsters. Well Entreprise told me they were too busy today so I can't do it till Monday...not sure yet which one.
BevrFevr : Yes those sure are purty. They look like you don't even shoot em. Yup the sure are nice even if they don't match exactly. Too be truely tactical they should match exactly.
Well I wanted them to not match since one will be the carry gun and one will be a spare; and I don't want to grab the wrong gun out of the armory. The Elite is new...put 300-ish rounds thru it at a class today, and the Elite II has to have at least 11,000 rounds through it by now.

Resistance is futile :) Get guns off the streets-take one home today!

Oh, further proof that I'm an idiot.
I had to stay late for work and wanted to go to the range after picking it up during my lunchbreak so I knew the thing worked for my class this weekend. I got stuck in traffic and had to turn around since I had to be somewhere for dinner, so I didn't get to testfire the gun.
So day one of Advanced Handgun w/ Scott Reitz/ITTS, I load and make ready thinking it's gonna be some low speed high drag warmup drill.
Wrong.
Engage two poppers and a :cuss: hostage target :banghead: I didn't even know if the gun worked
Good thing those sights were dead on :D
I replaced the mainspring with the D-spring. I still hate the stock sights. I can't wait to get my carbon fiber for this baby.

Yup, Love those Elites. My baby, operated on by Ernest Langdon:
Novak nitesights
D hammer spring
stainless speedbump trigger
beefed up Elite II skeletonized hammer
Level II trigger job.
stainless guide rod.

tsenn, I got it from an online auction, called the place and snagged it since no one bid on it. I forgot where they were...either MO or AR.

I second the "Nice Pair" statement!
That "Eat my Justice" sounds like something out of The Tick... :D
You know, I wanted a Beretta M92 to be like the Military thing, but the Elite's do look so much nicer!

December 7, 2003, 11:08 PM
I still want an M9 repro, but don't want to confuse myself since all my Berettas are decock only.
What's the tick?

OK...maybe there's something I don't know...my only Beretta experience is with the M9 WOPOS (Worn Out POS)...but why do everyone's Beratta pics show the safety off? I thought you could have the safety off without cocking the hammer?
Albert Shear
December 8, 2003, 08:47 AM
The 96/96G and Elite Models(which are G) have a spring loaded decocking lever, not a safety. Once the lever is pushed down to decock it springs back to the "fire" position.

From examining both Commercial Berettas and military models, I daresay the Commercial ones are a lot nicer, have better triggers, etc.

I have a 92FS Brigadier Inox and it has the 'decocker' type safety. I was just checking Beretta's stie and apparently the 92 'Stock' model can be cocked and locked.
From Berretausa.com:
The frame-mounted ambidextrous manual safety makes the firearm combat-ready, hammer-armed and with the safety on.

Hey Skunk, I got a couple of questions for you.
1. Where did you get the double mag holder, and if I may ask, how much was it?
2. I noticed you have the ten round mags in the holder, can you not carry the fifteen round ones in California?

1. From Blade-Tech, ran about $50-ish, but I forgot exactly how much. They're making me another one since the first two (including this one) are dorked up :banghead:
2. We can carry them, but not trade, swap, buy, steal, sell, borrow, loan, fondle, ogle, etc. 15 rounders :barf: :banghead:
