Looks like a nice CZ, but at 24.5 oz empty and 28.6 oz loaded, it seems that it's an uphill battle with the Kahr PM9 or P9 Covert, which weigh much less (they also hold 6+1 or 7+1, rather than 10 rnds of 9mm). I love my CZs, but the Kahr will be easier to carry. Just a thought.

what is an RAMI???????

Is it smaller lighter or more accurate than a glock 26??
Will it fit in a pocket holster like a 26?????

I'm sure that it will be less expensive than a KAHR or the Glock 26.

http://www.czub.cz/products/firearms/CZ_2075_RAMI/CZ_2075_RAMI.jpg

The CZ 2075 RAMI is semi-automatic handgun designed for aimed shooting at distances up to 50 m. This handgun is ideal for an individual defence be it in the civilian use or as a back-up handgun for military and law enforcement personnel. The CZ 2075 RAMI operational properties are based upon time-proven locked breech recoil operated principle where barrel locking surfaces mate at slide's ejection port. The CZ 2075 RAMI incorporates several positive safety devices as are firing pin block, hammer safety notch and manual safety thus substantially enhancing this model inherited safety features.

You guys really think it go for 300-400 dollar range if so that will be my next gun. Even though they are due out in Feb I'll bet we wont see them in my area till around Apr. The rami has been out for a few years in other countries does anyone know the durability and reliability of it? Also what other guns does it compare to in size , by the picture it looks like about the size of a glock 19 but pictures can fool you.

What's up with the slide stop?

Jeff OTMG
December 6, 2003, 03:41 PM
This is how small it is:
http://www.shotshowreports.com/images/2003/CZ40M.JPG

The slide stop is different to reduce the width of the pistol. To release you should be slingshotting the slide anyway, as on a Walther PP series.

What's up with the slide stop?

it doesn't have a slide stop.....

I think the size should roughly compare to the glock 26/27/33, barrel is 1/2 inch shorter than the baby glock though......tom

Wasnt impressed till I saw the above pics and did some calcs

Its approx 1.24 inches longer than a Seecamp, 1/2 inch higer and 1/2 inch wider.

:) :)...

Group buy? Shall I call in the favors I have with certain suppliers?

Me gonna get one in 9mm

I'm thinking for the .40, the 135 grain load from Cor-Bon would be ideal.
For 9mm... I'm not sure. Perhaps some 115 to 124 grain loads would be nice.

Isn't the Kahr K9/P9 smaller?

Yes, the K9/K40 and P9/P40 are smaller. The K9/K40 are a bit heavier though.

Make mine a 9 me thinks.

If you work at CZ and lurk this board reading these posts has to make you feel great.

If this little pocket rocket runs, success is pretty much assured. Cocked and locked, SA/DA, ten shots in a palm sized package and it's metal...what's not to like. Already has a slight melt on the business end too!

I can hardly wait.

Condition one? Looks like it, but I can't find confirmation.

Also, does it take 75 series magazines?

Zundfolge
December 7, 2003, 06:15 PM
Here's the RAMI vs a Kahr K9

RAMI 9mm
Overall Length = 6.57"
Height = 4.72"
Width = 1.26"
Weight (with magazine) = 24.5oz

Kahr K9
Overall Length = 6"
Height = 4.5"
Width = .90"
Weight (with magazine) = 26oz

I'm kinda disapointed ... based on the photos (especially the one in ol' Sasquatch's paw) I expected it to be between the size of a Kahr K9 and MK9 :(

Looks like it has a slight weight advantage and higher capacity, and a DA/SA trigger, but based on its size my entheusium is a bit dampened ... think I'd rather have a Kahr K9/K40, P9/P40 or Steyr S9/S40. ( I guess if my current carry gun was a CZ PCR or CZ 75 Compact I might feel different)

That is Mike Eagleshield's hand in the photo. He has shown it to me for a few years at the SHOT Show, but I was never allowed to show a full picture until this year. Mike is a big fella, but not real tall. I would not consider his hand huge by any means.

tomkatz
December 7, 2003, 07:16 PM
Some of that length is due to more beavertail than the kahr k9.....so basically you have a gun that is very close in size to the kahr, with less weight, more width, and 3 more rounds in 9mm, and it should cost substantially less. It compares pretty good with baby glocks too.
I have both these guns and if the rami is the gun I think it is, it will replace those two for me(and then I will start working towards the rohrbaugh:D) .....tom

The only part that truly interests me is the traditional DA action. You dont have this with the Kahr, kel-tec, Robotburg or whatever? Just what I am most comfortable with. I own two Glock 26's but shoot them rarely. when I shot glocks, I shot glocks.....now I shoot other stuff, glocks and DAO's feel just plain wierd to me. :)
