Question about 3-Lug adapters

Im building a suppressed 9mm SBR (AR platform). I've got a transfer in the works for an SWR Trident-9. I have a threaded barrel on my HK P-30, but I am not sure how to proceed with the AR 9mm upper. I'm looking for some advice on 3-Lug adapters.

I will be using a 5" barrel, so the suppressor will be attaching under the handguard. The suppressor will be attached to the AR 9mm most of the time, but I want to be able to occasionally remove it and attach it to the P30. Since the suppressor will be on the AR most of the time, I don't want to worry about having to tighten it while shooting. However, I am not entirely sure how the 3-Lug works.

1) Will I be able to attach and remove the 3-Lug suppressor without removing the handguard?

2) Will the 3-Lug eliminate the need for constant tightening of the suppressor while attached to the firearm.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

1) Yes
2) Yes

I suggest building an upper with a barrel whose muzzle is outside the handguards though. It's nice to be able to shoot unsuppressed sometimes.

I appreciate the response. I thought about that (keeping the muzzle past the handguard). However, I'm building this one from the ground up to be shot suppressed. There is a strange rule at my range about not shooting any rifles (no matter what caliber other than .22) on the plinking range, and the bench rest range where rifles are allowed starts at 50yrds and all shooting must be from the bench. I am building this rifle simply so that I can shoot at home without bothering the neighbors. So, I really won't have any opportunities to shoot it unsuppressed. I'd just like to be able to switch the suppressor to the handgun without removing the handguard.

A little eye candy for you.

Get a TROS 3 lug barrel instead of adding an adapter.

Nice Wahoo, that is really close to what I am going to do. Is that a regular Ar upper just with 9mm bolt and barrel?
