I had two in my career. First one bulged my 1911 Colt barrel, the other jammed my .357 686 smith & wesson. Like I always say, it can happen to the best of us, so when you don't hear a bang when you squeeze the trigger...STOP, wait 10 seconds in case of a hang fire, then remove any live ammo and inspect the barrel for lodged bullet.
A squib can strike when you lest expect it!

I know i have decided i may just start wearing latex gloves when handling primers, and i really got to stop using standard small pistol for 357 magnum and h-110 ;)

I will admit I had a few squibs when I first switched to a progressive press. After I learned the ropes I have not had any. I have proably had less then 5 in in my years of reloading. You have to watch what you are doing.

I've had 2 squibs. The first one lodged in the forcing cone so it wouldn't allow the cylinder to advance. The 2nd one was about a week later. I recognized the weird smoke from between the cylinder & the forcing cone & stopped.
I've been VERY lucky, no damage to my guns. Knock on wood! (knocking on head) :D

Never had one lodge in a Barrel.
But, one time, shooting some 20 or 30 year old ( who know's who's ) reloads...one was a mite weak.
Ten Yards, and, I saw the Bullet bounce off the bottom of the Paper Cardboard-Backed Target.
Was no recoil at all, and, report was very mild.
This was out of a Snubby, or else, the Bullet probably would have lodged in the Barrel..!
None the less, silly as it is, I STILL checked the Barrel to make double-darned-sure it was 'clear', even though I knew the Bullet had left it...
Lol...
I had a few of what seemed like double-charges using range-bought-ammo years ago...yeeeeeesh, I did not like that at all...'Bang'...'Bang'...'BOOM!'...
Seemed like I got those, other Shooters got the range-bought 'Squibs'.
