Holster Maker for Colt Python?

I recently fell into a good deal in a 4" Python that is now at Colt for refurbishment. I have a few months to shop for a holster good enough to put it in.

I'm looking for a top quality OWB straight drop with belt slots. It's not so much a concealment holster I'm looking for as a a straightforward holster that would simply be for holding the Python while outdoors, at a plate shoot, or at a barbecue.

The trouble is that as I look at the web sites for the top holster makers it seems that they are very oriented towards concealment and semi-auto holsters.

I thought of the Cowboy Action oriented holster outfits and looked for San Pedro Saddlery who made me a great custom holster for a Ruger Blackhawk some years ago, but I can't find a website for them and am wondering if they're still in business.

Anyway, any thoughts or suggestions?

Have you tried El Paso Saddlery, as they make nice holsters. You can also use a holster made for the S&W "L" frame - model 686.

Try C5 Leather, BigJim in Kansas City, Kansas. He is an excellent craftsman! I got an IWB holster, two magazine carriers and a heavy belt and the quality cannot be beat!

His prices are reasonable, too!
He may be busy, so expect to possibly wait a few weeks!

I had a little problem (the way my body is) and he worked on the job special just to accomodate me!

Holsters from any of these makers, as well as previously mentioned El Paso Saddlery, can be made as plain or fancy as you want. :)

Why not put your Colt Python in holster done up in Python Skin?

The attached pic is of my Springfield XD 4" in one of them. I'm sure that one for a Colt Python would be doable.
