I bought one of these and need to know where I can get an ejector spring. This is the pre-python model that only says "Model .357" on the barrel. Only made from 1954-1961. Any help is appreciated.

Try gunpartscorp.com, also known as Numrich Gun Parts. There's also poppertsgunparts.com, parts4guns.com, and jackfirstgunparts.com. Some of these places don't have an online catalog so you would have to call to see if they have your part. Hope this helps.

The Colt 357 major parts were interchangeable with the Official Police, original Trooper (not the Mark 3) the Officer's Model Match, and the earlier Python.
So, you don't have to have a spring made expressly for the 357, but you do need an earlier type of ejector spring as used in the 1950's.

Be aware, disassembly of the 357 cylinder to replace the pin REQUIRES two special wrenches, and there's a medium high risk of damaging the ejector assembly even with the tools. Damage something, and it requires a trip back to Colt.

Here's the tools, at Brownell's. These are MUST HAVE to get the cylinder assembly apart.:

This is used to unscrew the ejector spring bushing. Nothing else will work.

The hole in the middle is used to unscrew the ejector.
