kiva.org - improving gun owner image

I have been lending money to folks in areas of the world less fortunate than mine through a website called kiva.org. This is micro loans (as little as $25). I have also started a group called "Gun Owners" right now I am the only person in this group - I would love to expand this group and let people all over the world see the benefit gun owners can have. If you are already lending through kiva please lend "through" this group if you are not please consider it.

Remember this is a loan that they pay back over time. - sometimes months othertimes years.

I personally feel this falls under Activism - but if the mods disagree please move/remove if needed.

Zombie, I looked at Kiva early for some money I wanted to park. I'll take a look at it again and your group.

An interesting idea. If I get some spare cash I won't worry about say $100 I'll sign up.

Could be another interesting image. Gunowners are amongst some of the most law abiding people out there, next they are amongst the most philonthropic, even if it's just micro loans helping folks in the third world and such.

I love kiva and this an even better way. If you happen to find any people who are doing gun or self defense related business make sure to post them so we can loan to them.

Great idea. One of the things that I love about Kiva is that it's not a handout, you're giving people the means to help themselves. The pay back rates are very good; 22 loans so far and I have yet to lose a cent.

Joined and loaned. This is a great program, for the cost of one range day you can help people whose daily life is often a struggle to survive.
