I'm not sure what you mean by "price help".

The Ruger site doesn't show Blackhawks in .45LC, but they do make stainless Vaqueros in .45LC, for $679 suggested.

Gallery of Guns shows a new Blackhawk (blued) in .45LC for $557.

So, the price doesn't seem out of line for a NIB stainless Blackhawk.

I have a problem with buying used guns, unless there is some kind of warranty. That's just my opinion. I know lots of shooters who happily "horse trade" guns, acquiring ones they like and dumping ones that don't please them.

You could easily spend $100 getting that used one repaired.

I just priced new blackhawks yesterday at my local gun shop, and they were asking $530.00.

$450.00 doesn't seem to bad for a really nice used on, especially if it comes with very much Cor-Bon ammo, cause it's not cheap by any means. (I'm looking for some for deer hunting with a 45 Colt BH this fall, and have been pricing it online):eek:

I bought a NIB stainless Blackhawk in 45 Colt a few months back, $475 + taxes & bg check fees, 4 5/8" barrel. Unless the previous owner was a heavy handloader I wouldn't have a problem buying the used gun mentioned. I also found a 45 acp cylinder that fits like a charm($120 rugerforums.com). I also load 45 Schofield rounds that work fine with the colt cylinder. I have another 45 colt in the pipeline through gunbroker(Redhawk). You can look there for prices. I factor in sales tax savings, transfer costs, & availability. Anyhow- fun gun.

I bought my stainless 4 5/8" last year for $475 new at a gun show.

sourdough44 - did you just simply purchase the acp cylinder and it fit or did it have to be fitted by Ruger/gunsmith? I would like to get an acp cylinder for mine.

New Rugers should typically go for around 75-80% of MSRP.

$450 is a little high for a used one. I wouldn't go any higher than $375-$400 max, preferably less, much less. No issues whatsoever buying a used one. Ruger has no warranty anyway but if it's broke, they will fix it. If you have issues with used guns, you need to educate yourself on what to look for. You also need to basically look for all the same potential caveats with new guns as well. Don't just assume that because it's new, it's perfect.
