Yep, its a nice pistol.But there have been many reports that it won't feed JHPs.
Go Glock21,mags are cheaper.

Use MecGar mags and HP's feed just fine.

The 97 is one of those love it or hate it pistols, there seems to be little middle ground. It's pretty large, has a long reach to the trigger in DA, and the out of the box trigger is typical CZ - mediocre at best.

But, it can be tuned to deliver stunning performance. I have accurized my 97 and on a good day, it can do sub-1.0" groups from a rest @ 25 yards. People brag about the how robust the 645/4506 series S&W's, but they have nothing on the CZ.

If you want to shoot HP's, you must find a bullet style that has a cavity narrower than the 97's feed ramp, which isn't very wide. Winchester Personal Defense 230 HP's feed flawlessly in my 97. The one in this pic has a little over 6k rounds through it and it's butter-snot smooth.
